Job Description:

We are recruiting an Area Sales Manager (Area Sales Engineer) to cover the North of the UK. Specific location is less important than easy access to major communication links.

Key tasks will include developing and managing the company’s sales performance with (principally) end users in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. This will involve the proactive pursuit of UK projects covering capital expenditure, repairs and maintenance contracts; opening and building critical client relationships, influencing specifications and securing profitable orders. This is an autonomous role requiring detailed planning and a focused approach.

The selected candidate will have a proven record of success selling into the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. Your background experience should bring engineering ability, ideally mechanically focused. Possible product types that lend themselves to my client’s portfolio include pumps, valves, 'flow control', piping systems, separation solutions, process equipment (e.g. pressure vessels, coolers, heaters, dryers, filtration, agitation, mixing), instrumentation or switchgear. Alternatively, some form of process engineering solution or capital equipment (e.g. compressors, compression systems, generators).
