We are the leading trade and employer association for the UK engineering construction industry.
The ECIA members include many of the largest companies in the world that carry out engineering projects globally. Other national contractors employ skilled craftspeople on projects that cover the UK. Onshore, ECIA members employ around fifty to sixty thousand personnel including plant designers, planners, project engineers and managers as well as skilled trades' people.

ECIA represents its members with a collective voice on all matters affecting their industry. The organisation is supported by a statutory Industry Training Board and, in partnership with two other employers' associations and three trade unions (Amicus, GMB and TGWU); it operates the National Agreement for Engineering Construction through the industry's National Joint Council.
 
GPW Recruitment have a proven track record of employing and supplying craftspeople within the NAECI agreement [National Agreement for the Engineering Construction Industry] better know in the industry as the Blue Book. We comply with the Health and Safety provisions required of Employment Businesses within the ECIA, which allows GPW Recruitment to supply specialist labour to all In-Scope NJC sites with contracts that are approved by the ECIA and therefore by the Unions.
